Inspired by her mother, who raised her to believe in yourself and that there are no barriers to success, Alayna is looking forward to challenging stereotypes as she works towards her goal of being an electrical engineer. She hopes to be an example for other woman who may be intimidated by male dominated fields and encourage others, like herself, to follow their dreams. Alayna is in the top 15% of her graduating class and scored in the highest percentile of Advanced Academic Performance test. She is planning to use her CHC scholarship to attend Texas A&M Corpus Christi next year.
