Ky’-Anna is a recipient of a 2017 CHC scholarship and plans to continue her studies at Collin Community College but plans to transfer to University of North Texas to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Non-Profit Studies. She is a single mother of a young child, while both working and attending school. Ky’-Anna hopes to use her degree to help others, who like herself, have struggled with escaping poverty, obtaining an education, and avoiding incarceration. In addition to her studies, Ky’-Anna volunteers her time at Boys and Girls clubs, nursing homes and community centers.
